Town of Tuxedo
The earliest occupants of what is now the Town of Tuxedo were the Lenni-Lenape Indians, who named the largest lake in the town "Tucseto," meaning either "place of the bear" or "clear flowing water." Eighteenth Century settlers were mainly employed at the nearby Sterling iron mines works at neighboring Ringwood, New Jersey.

Ringwood Pipe Band is in Ringwood Hampshire, U.K. We are a pipes and drum band who lead marches, processions, carnivals and appear in tattoos in our area. Although some way from you all in Ringwood New Jersey - We are now linked by the web. We are a Grade IV pipe band and wear the MacKenzie tartan and full highland uniform of the Seaforth Highlanders.
