Driving North on Skyline Drive (going to RT-511) this will take you toward the middle of town. From the time you get on Sklyline Drive in Oakland the 6-7 mile trek up Skyline Drive brings you to our "town on top of a mountain". If you keep your eyes peeled you will see our town center. We have a McDonald's, a Grand Union supermarket, a great hardware store (Promart) and a Dunkin Donut's to pick up some coffee. In the distance is a not so clear view of the mountains in Sussex County and beyond the first set of hills is the Wanaque Reservoir.
